How To Make A GIF In Less Than 5 Minutes

GIFs are a trend that aren't going away anytime soon. They ARE the internet. The internet is seriously so much more awesome because of them. So as a modern company, why not have a few custom GIFs up your sleeve? From cute and funny employee moments to logo stings, they definitely come in handy from time to time. We love our custom GIFs, and they took less than 5 minutes to make! So what are you waiting for?!

Step 1: Record your video!

Take a quick video first - use a tripod or just handhold the camera, you'll probably want to keep it under 5 seconds so it should be super simple! We put our tripod in front of us, and just started goofing off. We actually took about 3 minutes of video, but were able to pick the funniest moments to clip into our GIFs. Once you have a few seconds of a video clip that are GIF worthy you're ready to go.

Step 2: Convert it in Photoshop or online.

There are two ways to take your video clip and turn them into a GIF. The first (and best option) is Photoshop. In Photoshop, you simply import your video file and create layers from all the frames, then export it as a GIF (watch a step by step version below - click on any image to enlarge).

If you don't have photoshop another way to easily make a GIF is with one of the online converters. Use a site like EZGIF to quickly turn your video clip into a GIF. It's so easy to use and super fast - and doesn't degrade the quality at all. They also have super helpful options like the  crop tool.

Step 3: Use your GIFs!

Now is the most fun part! Share those GIFs! Don't overdo it... but definitely get some good use out of them. We love them for our website (obviously) and we even use them in the occasional Facebook message. They add a little fun into our company photo collection, and they show off our personalities!

We can't wait to see the GIFs you make! Share them in the comments or even send them to us on Facebook!
